Shuai is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Yale University, where her work focuses on uncovering immune mechanisms underlying progressive fibrotic lung diseases, including idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and systemic sclerosis–associated interstitial lung disease (SSc-ILD). In addition to translational immunology research, she is actively involved in clinical trials in interstitial lung diseases, gaining experience in patient-oriented research and the development of emerging therapeutic strategies. With both clinical and research training, her goal is to bridge immunology, genomics, and clinical medicine to advance precision medicine and improve outcomes for patients with interstitial lung diseases.
