Vincent Fiore, PhD
Lab Leader, Department of Immunology & Respiratory Diseases Research
Boehringer Ingelheim
Vince Fiore is biomedical scientist and drug discoverer with expertise in fibrosis, mechanobiology, and regenerative medicine. He is a Lab Leader at Boehringer Ingelheim's Department of Immunology & Respiratory Diseases Research, where he focuses on identifying disease mechanisms and therapeutic targets in progressing fibrosis disorders. Contributions from his research include the identification of mechanosensitive fibroblast subpopulations in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and the elucidation of integrin co-receptors that control the sensing of extracellular matrix stiffness. Vince received his B.S.E. from Pennsylvania State University and his Ph.D. from Georgia Tech and Emory Universities in Biomedical Engineering. He was subsequently a Charles H. Revson postdoctoral fellow at the Rockefeller University.
