Andrew Paige is a graduate student in Dr. John Hunt’s lab, where he uses cryo-EM to elucidate the effects of drugs on the hierarchical unfolding of human Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Conductance Regulator protein (hCFTR). Previously, he has used cryo-EM to characterize a human methylosome-Lsm10/11 complex and used X-ray crystallography to solve the structure of a salivary gland protein from the mosquito Culex quinquefasciatis bound to ADP in a unique site for its class.
