Adriana Di Nanni, PhD
Columbia University
Adriana Di Nanni is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the Chemistry Department at Columbia University, as a member of the Cornish Laboratory. Her work leverages synthetic biology for the engineering of living-yeast biosensors and aims at the establishment of a platform for the AI-guided development of novel biosensors on demand. Dr. Di Nanni is focusing on broadening yeast sensor applications from medical to environmental through collaborations across different fields, while acting as project manager for the DARPA and NSF center grants that are facilitating these partnerships.

Prior to joining the Cornish Laboratory, Dr. Di Nanni’s background was centered on Medicinal Chemistry: she obtained her PhD in Pharmaceutics at the University of Tuebingen (Germany), where she focused on the development of various radiolabeled compounds for the detection of neurodegeneration and tumor tissue via Positron Emission Tomography.
