Minhee Lee
Columbia University
Minhee is a final year PhD student at Columbia studying tyrosine kinase biology under Prof. Neel Shah. He did his undergraduate research with Prof. Krishna Kumar at Tufts, where he was trained in peptide chemistry to investigate different therapeutic strategies for GLP-1 analogs. In the Shah lab, Minhee implemented amber suppression into their bacterial peptide display method to incorporate non-canonical amino acids and study the effects of other post-translational modifications on tyrosine kinase substrate recognition. Now, he is developing a strategy to generate selective, covalent peptide inhibitors of tyrosine kinases based on existing substrate information.
