Pfizer
As a Scientific Director of ADC Discovery in Pfizer Oncology, Brian P. O'Connor leads a research team supporting programs from early discovery to Phase 3 trials. Dr. O'Connor's team focuses on elucidating the interactions between immune cells and the mechanisms of action of ADC/BsAbs. His team develops innovative approaches, including 'omics based analyses, to deepen MOA understanding and to delineate strategy implications. Dr. O'Connor earned his Immunology PhD from Dartmouth, identifying BCMA's role in B cell and plasma cell regulation. He completed postdoctoral training at the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. O'Connor subsequently spent 14 years as faculty of the NJH Respiratory and Immunology Research Center, and the University of Colorado's Immunology Graduate Program. As Associate Professor, his NIH-supported research encompassed murine models of tumor immunity to epigenetic regulation of human immune cells. He also led the genomics facility as Scientific Director, advancing 'omics analysis of human disease. A steadfast dedication to scientific progress that enhances patient outcomes has consistently guided Dr. O'Connor's professional journey.
