John Griffin, PhD
Pfizer
John is currently a Principal Scientist in the Internal Medicine Research Unit at Pfizer exploring therapies for cardiometabolic disease. He obtained his PhD in Biochemical & Molecular Nutrition from Tufts University. He went on to two postdoctoral rotations specializing in metabolic biology, one at Tufts University and one at Pfizer. John’s research has focused on how dysregulation of energy metabolism at the cellular level can contribute to metabolic disease. His studies have spanned the contribution of lipid droplet proteins to the development of MASH, the intersection of intestinal dietary lipid metabolism and satiety signaling, and interorgan communication networks that influence adipose lipolysis and liver triglyceride.
